From overgrown patio to a clear, welcoming garden

Weeds were growing through the paving joints and around the pots, with moss across the slabs and low growth spreading in from the boundaries. The patio needed a thorough garden tidy-up and clean to bring the existing outdoor space back into use.

The work combined clearance around the pots and garden edges with cleaning the existing paving. Our team retained the established shrubs and the bench, concentrating on the low growth, weeds and moss that were obscuring the patio. The finished views show the slab layout, pebble features and route beside the house more clearly.

The original paving is visible again, with the slab pattern and edges clearly defined. There is more open space around the bench and pots, and a clearer route from the house across the patio. The established shrubs remain, keeping the garden's leafy character.

When a patio is overgrown, the first decision is what to retain. Send a wide view of the paving and planting, and identify containers or features you want the team to work around. A combined garden tidy-up and patio clean may be useful where both the edges and the surface need attention.
