Who we are

Chester Property & Garden Maintenance ("we") is a property and garden maintenance business based at 33 Strawberry Fields, Chester, CH3 5YF. We are the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us at martin@cpagm.co.uk or 07539 426062.

What we collect, and why

When you ask us for a quote — through the form, WhatsApp, the AI assistant or the Instant Quote tool — we collect your name, phone number, and where relevant your email address, postcode or town, and what you've told us about the job. We use it for one thing: to get back to you with a price and to carry out work you ask us to do.

If you send photos of the job, we use them to price the work accurately. Photos are resized in your own browser before they are sent, which removes location and camera data from the file, so we never receive the GPS coordinates embedded by your phone.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for marketing unless you ask us to.

The AI assistant

The chat and voice assistant on this site is an AI. It is not a person, and it will tell you so if you ask.

Conversations with it — including voice recordings and transcripts — are processed and stored by our conversational AI provider, ElevenLabs, and may be reviewed to check quality and improve how the assistant answers. Please don't share anything in a conversation you wouldn't want recorded.

If you attach a photo, it is read by an AI vision model (OpenAI) so the assistant can describe the job and give you a guide price. Prices themselves are always calculated from our published price list, never invented by the AI.

If you use the assistant, we store a random identifier in your browser so it can pick up where you left off next time. It contains no personal details. You can clear it at any time using the “Forget me” option in the assistant panel, or by clearing your browser's site data.

Who else sees it

We use a small number of service providers to run the site and get your enquiry to us: Vercel (hosting), Resend (sending enquiry emails), Twilio (text message alerts), ElevenLabs (the AI assistant), OpenAI (reading job photos), Google (Analytics, Tag Manager and Ads) and Microsoft Clarity (understanding how pages are used). They process your information on our instructions only.

Cookies and measurement

We use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads and Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is used and whether our advertising works. These set cookies and similar identifiers in your browser. You can block or clear them in your browser settings; the site works without them.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and job records are kept for as long as we need them for the work and for our accounting and insurance obligations — normally six years. Assistant conversations are kept by our provider for quality and improvement purposes. If you'd rather we deleted something sooner, just ask.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Email us and we'll deal with it — there's no charge and no form to fill in.

If you're not happy with how we've handled something, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
