Overgrown garden clearance

15 years of overgrowth, cleared back to usable space

Left untouched for 15 years, this side garden had become a tangle of brambles and climbing growth around a parked car. Martin cut back the overgrowth and cleared the loose material, revealing the ground, the side passage and the rear gates again.

The job

What needed doing

The space had been left untouched for 15 years. Dense climbing growth and brambles had spread between the house and fence, around the stored car and towards the rear gates. The customer needed the unwanted growth cut back and the accumulated cuttings cleared so the existing space could be reached again.

The finished views show exposed ground beside the house, a clearer route along the fence and space in front of the rear gates. The car remains in place, with the surrounding overgrowth cleared. The existing garden layout is visible again and ready for the next stage of upkeep.

Work completed

Cut back dense brambles and climbing growth in the side garden
Cleared growth around the parked car and alongside the house
Removed loose cuttings and leaf debris from the ground
Revealed the side passage and the approach to the rear gates
Left the existing car, fencing and rear structures in place

Customer benefits

Access recovered to a space that had become difficult to reach
Ground and boundary edges visible again for future upkeep
A practical starting point for ongoing garden maintenance

Worth dealing with early

Dense growth can conceal objects, changes in ground level and obstacles
Climbers can spread around stored items and narrow side passages
Fresh growth can return unless follow-up maintenance is agreed

From assessment to finish

How the work moved through each stage

Good results start with checking the condition, planning the work and finishing with a final quality check. These are the practical stages used for this job.

  2. 02Cut back growth around the car
  3. 03Clear the loose cuttings
  4. 04Reveal the ground and gates

More than a quick tidy-up

Making a long-neglected space manageable again

When a garden has been left for years, it can be hard to know where to start. This clearance focused on the tangled growth and loose material that had taken over the space, while keeping the existing surroundings in place.

01

A passage lost to growth

Brambles and climbers had spread between the house and the fence. The first view shows how little of the side garden was still visible before the cut-back.

02

Working around existing belongings

The stored car stayed in place. The progress photographs show the surrounding growth being cut back in stages, rather than a new layout or a vehicle-cleaning job.

03

The clear-up makes the difference

Cutting back the growth left a substantial amount of loose material on the ground. The finished views show that material cleared from the passage and the area in front of the rear gates.

04

A starting point for upkeep

With the ground and edges visible again, it is easier to plan future weeding and cut-backs. Clearance opens up the space; regular attention helps keep it manageable.

Before you book

Is your garden too overgrown to tackle?

You do not need to tidy it before asking for help. Start with photos taken from somewhere you can comfortably reach.

Explore Garden Clearance
Can you clear a garden that has been untouched for years?

Yes. This side garden had been left untouched for 15 years before the clearance. Send photos of your garden and tell Martin which areas you want opened up, what needs to stay and how the space can be accessed. The work and quote are agreed for the individual site.

Can you work around a parked car or other belongings?

The car remained in place during this project, with the overgrowth around it cleared. Tell us about vehicles, garden furniture and anything fragile before quoting, so Martin can discuss access and the areas that can be reached. Vehicle cleaning or restoration is a separate task and was not part of this gallery.

Will a garden clearance remove all the roots permanently?

A cut-back and clearance do not automatically stop regrowth. This gallery shows the growth and loose material cleared above ground; it does not show root excavation. Weed control and ongoing garden maintenance can be discussed separately to suit the plants and the result you want.

Is waste removal included in my quote?

Tell Martin whether you want cuttings taken away or left in an agreed place. Waste volume and access affect the scope and price. The finished photos here show the working area cleared; the arrangements for your own garden will be confirmed before booking.

What do you need for an overgrown garden clearance quote?

Send your postcode, a wide view of the overgrowth, a photo of the access route and details of any stored items or features you want to keep. Take photos from a clear, accessible position rather than pushing into dense growth. Larger or difficult-to-access spaces may need a visit before a firm quote.
